Under the guidance and care of our beloved Father, the 2024 Caritas Charity Bazaar was successfully held on 10 November 2024 at Fa Hui Park. Thanks to the organisation efforts of the Moral and National Education Team, the PSHE Learning Community, all teacher advisors and student helpers, the day was filled with happiness and heartwarming moments. Our school set up two booths with games and a charity sale to aid in fundraising and promote evangelisation.
During the Bazaar, Holy Familians united to engage with the community. The games, incorporating Catholic elements, allowed participants to showcase their kindness and patience. The highlight of the charity sale was undoubtedly the keychains designed by our students, which were appreciated by the public for their unique designs.
As a student helper, I was responsible for moving around the venue, asking for donations in exchange for goodies from our stall. Amidst the crowd, I noticed a little girl curiously admiring our keychains. When she learned that the money donated would support a good cause, she eagerly agreed to purchase one. This sight warmed my heart; it taught me that thoughtfulness counts more than the amount of money spent, and it reaffirmed my belief in the inherent kindness of humanity.
The 2024 Caritas Bazaar was undoubtedly an enlightening and significant event for everyone involved. It reminded us of the joy of giving and the importance of benevolence. Let us carry forward the spirit of "United in Love" and always be ready to lend a helping hand, for we are all in this together, creating a difference in our diverse society, hand in hand.
