Beyond the Gates of the Pink Castle

Six years ago, we sat wide-eyed in the school hall. Drowned in oversized, bright pink uniforms, we waited with a mix of nervous excitement for the Opening Ceremony that would kick off our beautiful secondary school adventure. Today, in that very same hall, we stand together as mature young ladies, ready to graduate from our beloved pink castle and step out into the wide world.
Now, the time has come for us to walk out of the nurturing greenhouse where our wonderful teachers and parents have so lovingly sheltered us. It is completely natural if the uncertainty of the future leaves us feeling a little anxious or disoriented at times. Yet, we can find so much comfort and strength in the gentle wisdom of our distinguished alumna, Ms Norris Wong, who reminded us that no path we take is ever truly wasted. Every detour we face and every trial we overcome yields invaluable lessons that help us grow. Armed with this beautiful truth, let us bravely pursue our truest passions, even when the road ahead is the one less travelled.
Walking that less-travelled road requires a deep reservoir of personal strength, which is a lifelong gift that our school has spent the last six years tenderly instilling in us. Our Principal, Ms Cheng, beautifully highlighted this by reminding us of moments like the Wellness Carnival, which taught us to treat ourselves with kindness and trust so we can step into the unknown with unwavering optimism. By urging us to take care of our mental and physical well-being amidst life's inevitable challenges, she reminded us how to navigate setbacks and always rebound with resilience.
“…Holy Family, we are proud of you.”
As these resonant, familiar voices echo through the school hall, the curtains gently fall on our precious secondary school years. This final melody marks the conclusion of our graduation ceremony, but it is also the breathtaking beginning of our voyage into the world. We leave this beloved pink castle with our heads lifted high, our minds beautifully nourished, and our hearts forever proud to be Holy Familians.
