With captains and members of the four Houses marching into Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground, the annual Athletics Meet was successfully held on 9 December 2024. It was indisputably a joyful and memorable event.
With the cheer of the four Houses, not only did Holy Familians embrace their talents on tracks and fields, but they also demonstrated the spirit of our school: “United in Love” and virtuous sportsmanship. We must praise all athletes for their tremendous efforts and support, as their resounding cheers and results are truly inspiring.
This year, the four Houses were themed around a magical world. The fancy and eye-catching cheering costumes and props prepared by the cheering team leaders were great evidence of their considerable effort and passion for this event. They encouraged House members to showcase their best during the showtime. The House of Joy was awarded the Cheering Champion title, while the House of Harmony was recognized as the Overall Champion. Yet, the greatest appreciation should go to all Holy Familians who have shown wholehearted support and participation in the event.
This year, we are delighted to have Ms Ho Yin Ngai as our guest of honour. Her sharing of her sports journey was truly motivating. Ms Ho’s words of encouragement inspired us to cherish every moment and opportunity in our lives, which means a lot to us.
The highlight of the Athletics Meet was undoubtedly the 4x100m Teacher-Student Relay. The moment when the sports ground resonated with cheers and applause left an indelible mark in our minds. Being “United in Love,” all Holy Familians contributed to making the Athletics Meet a meaningful and cheerful event. We all look forward to the Athletics Meet next year!
