On 2 May 2025, the Campus Treasure Hunt, organised by the STEAM Team and the Mathematics Olympiad Team, was held to provide students with a fun puzzle-solving experience. While exploring the campus, students searched for and attempted a series of logical and mathematical puzzles to win big prizes, which helped enhance their problem-solving skills.
In addition to the treasure hunt, the STEAM activities held during the Activity Period showcased impressive work from students across all forms.
- In the S1 "Mysteries Behind Planting" presentations, students shared their experiences monitoring plant growth conditions using micro: bit and IoT (Internet of Things) technology.
- The PBL x STEAM project for S2 allowed students to investigate historical buildings in Hong Kong, capture 360-degree photos, and create interactive VR experiences, blending technology with culture.
- The S3 Hovercraft Investigation Competition highlighted students’ creativity as they designed and decorated unique hovercrafts, testing their speed in a race that fused ancient Chinese maritime history (The Seven Voyages of Zheng He) with modern transportation technology.
- The AR Dodgeball competition allowed S4 students to play traditional sports with AR technology, emphasising the importance of our school’s yearly theme, “Staying Active Staying Healthy”.
- S5 students enjoyed aviation experiences that included flight simulations, paper glider creation, and discussions about the development of China's C919 aircraft, helping students learn about career opportunities in the aviation industry.
Overall, these activities enriched students' learning experiences in STEAM education and fostered a vibrant school community. Witnessing students thrive in these activities was truly inspiring and reinforced the value of hands-on, interdisciplinary learning in STEAM.
