A lively wave of energy and high anticipation filled the air on 23 September 2026 as Holy Familians gathered at the brand-new Kowloon Tsai Swimming Pool for our annual Swimming Gala. House captains, committee members, and cheering leaders set an energetic tone right from the start, rallying their respective Houses for an unforgettable day of competition.
Our swimmers embraced challenges in the water with their astonishing perseverance and resilience which showcased their remarkable talent and exemplary sportsmanship. The swimmers’ pursuit of excellence was matched by the enthusiastic cheers from the four houses. The ecstatic chants from all our teachers and schoolmates drove the entire event forward with boundless excitement. The Swimming Gala reached its climax during the 4×50 m Invitation Relay, where we welcomed representatives from six sister schools to compete alongside our school swimming team in an inspiring display of friendship and sportsmanship. During the closing ceremony, we had the privilege of having Ms Lau Tsz Ching Kay, a representative of the Hong Kong China Water Polo Team, who has proudly competed on the international stage at the Asian Games and Asian Beach Games as our Guest of Honour. In her enlightening sharing, she reflected on her athletic journey to remind us that resilience, self-discipline and hard work are keys to success. Her encouraging words inspired all Holy Familians to pursue their passions with determination.
On this meaningful occasion, Holy Familians embraced the spirit of our school motto, United in Love, by cheering each other on and striving for excellence in the swimming pool, which made our Swimming Gala a resounding success. We all look forward to witnessing our schoolmates’ talent and unity again at next year’s Swimming Gala!
