Year-end Celebration 2026

Reflecting a vibrant year of aesthetic development and artistic dedication, the annual Year-end Celebration took place on 7 July 2026 in the School Hall.  This momentous occasion brought together the entire school community to witness a spectacular showcase of our schoolmates’ talent and hard-earned achievements throughout the school year.  The Year-end Celebration seamlessly wove together music, drama, art, and speech into a grand end-of-year symphony that delighted guests, parents, teachers, and students.

The event commenced with a powerful series of performances by the School Orchestra.  The Orchestra enchanted the audience with three mesmerising pieces that demonstrated students' musical growth in this school year.  Transitioning from musical instruments to theatrical intrigue, the Drama Club took the stage to present a play named “The Trial”.  The compelling narrative followed three princesses on a perilous quest to claim the throne, which offered a reminder that true leadership stems from heart, humility, and unity.  The impressive drama show was followed by a live sand-painting demonstration where the audience was treated to amazing recreations of two award-winning sand paintings titled “My Dream World” and “If I Had Wings” respectively. The aesthetics of the sand art beautifully left a deep emotional resonance with the audience.

The second half of the programme celebrated diverse cultural expressions, beginning with the Chinese Dance Team’s delivery of a captivating classical Chinese Dance routine resembling the distinct essence of Chinese culture.  This was followed by a series of fascinating musical performances, such as a harmonious flute quartet performing the piece “Coral Drops”, a delicate Saxophone Trio rendering “When You Wish Upon A Star”, and a harp and cello duet which included a medley of famous Ghibli songs that plucked our heartstrings.  Other than musical performances, our ears were also blessed with expressive solo verse performances in both Chinese and English delivered by an award-winning student.  The celebration reached its emotional peak with the vocal performance given by the School Choir.  The talented choristers performed a diverse mix of melodies consisting of a traditional Japanese folk song, a haunting modern choral work, and a cheerful rural anthem reminiscing about the sweetness of life.

The memorable Year-end Celebration allowed our students to unleash their potential and served as a profound testament to our students' dedicated efforts in honing their skills throughout the school year.
